Lip Syncing

In todays lesson we had Amar do a talk and example of how to lip sync the music to the visuals on screen for our music video production. We learnt how to find the start of the lyrics by pressing pause as soon as we heard it and then using the arrow keys to find the first sound the singer makes. We then would mark this place pressing the "m" button twice and name it so we remembered it. After we would use the video we wanted and do exactly the same way to find the start of the lyrics on this. Then we would cut in and out of the clip and then drag and drop to the exact place of the marker. This meant that the video on screen should exactly match the lyrics of the song. If it worked you would then be able to cut out the video sounds and it would sound perfect!
After doing this with a couple of shots, we were then able to cut back and forth from shots as all of the frames were already in time with the music. We used the beat as a chance to change the shots, so the viedo flowed well with the music.
